Violet my B. smithi just molted! And finally left a moist, intact skin to sex— to my dismay, Violet may no longer be an appropriate name. Haha, I decided when I got it (a year ago) that if it ended up being a male it would be named Carmine. And so meet Carmine. He shed less than an hour ago, and so hasn’t fully hardened or plumped up yet. In a few days I will take some more flix for you guys. In the mean time— CHECK OUT THOSE BOOK LUNGS! I am sooo grateful he had a kinda crazy molt and I’m able to check them out (the four white things)— these usually dehydrate and disappear by the time I discover the skin. :)
